Therapy

I like to compare “going to therapy” to going to the gym. You wouldn’t go to the gym one time to maintain physical wellness, it would be a routine practice! I personally feel this should be the same for therapy, but with the focus being on maintaining ongoing mental wellness! Therapy helps you explore negative thought patterns that are keeping you in behavioral loops that are not serving your mental wellness. Your therapist will help you reframe and rewire these negative thought patterns. Therapy also helps you identify, process, and verbalize your emotions in a healthy way. Learning how to set boundaries with the people around you is also a vital part of therapy, as many of us have tolerated various abuses and toxicities from our unhealed loved ones for much of our lives. The benefits to therapy are numerous, and we look forward to supporting you in your wellness path!
