Awakening Breathwork
This Breathwork is one of the most powerful ways to utilize the breath for one’s healing and transformation. It helps in clearing negative energies, releasing trauma, connecting to yourself, and improving your overall mental health. Many people also report spiritual awakenings, epiphanies, and elevated states of consciousness with this Breathwork practice. Awakening Breathwork is performed in a group setting. It can be intimidating to do such transformational work with other people around, however, when people gather together to do healing work, the energy and positive outcomes are amplified.
This Breathwork practice involves laying down on a yoga mat with a sheet over you, and an eye pillow covering your eyes. Your practitioner will then guide you through a circular breathing technique that you will do for about 45 minutes. Meditative music is played throughout the entire session to assist in the process. After the circular breathing, you will then lay on your left side for 15-20 minutes before you get up and acclimate. At the end, there is a short debriefing in which you can share any experiences you had during your session.
It is very common for people to have emotional responses during Breathwork, and any experience other participating individuals may have, is expected to be kept confidential to preserve the sacred container of the healing work.
